About the Actor / Storyteller

A Healing Bridge, Red Oak Counseling was born when Lynne moved into her new home in Dayton, Ohio nine years ago and fell in love with the beautiful Red Oak trees native to the area. She started her business to help others, through her counseling and stories, to be strong, adaptive, resilient, and empowered, the same qualities shared by the Red Oak trees. Theater and stories have powerful messages to help people heal, grow, and lead successful and happy lives.

Lynne earned a Masters Degree in counseling from the University of Dayton and is a licensed professional clinical counselor. She has worked in the counseling field for over 20 years and has been a storyteller for over 9 years. She has entertained and worked with all age populations and specializes in providing services to senior adults. She teaches classes at Wright State University, Clark State and the Huber Heights School District.

What Is Theater of Life ™

Theater of Life ™, delivered by a "Master Storyteller / Counselor" presents uplifting, moving stories with a special message for everyone. Colorful stories from many cultures provide Fun, Healing, Spiritual Growth, Self-Esteem Building, and Social Interaction.

Music and props bring to life meaningful stories, personal myths, archetypes and anecdotes offered by the facilitator and group members to encourage the sharing of thoughts and feelings, increase socialization and positive coping, solve problems, elevate mood, improve self-esteem, and resolve conflicts and issues.
